Living at The Lodge |
|
“The Lodge” is a separate program that
offers independence, privacy, security and a feeling of
community for
residents who need minimal care services. Staff members work with residents
and their family
members to determine what type of assistance is needed. Staff members supervise residents with the administration
of prescribed
medications and the activities of daily living.
The Lodge offers a “medical” and “social” model, meaning that we attend to
both the physical and emotional needs of the individual.
A Nurse is on duty 24 hours a day and is assisted by Certified Nursing
Assistants.
The Lodge has a capacity for 30 residents in private and semi-private rooms. |

| Dining |
|
To promote
socialization, residents are encouraged to eat in the The Lodge’s dining
room that is easily accessible from each resident’s room. All diets are by
physicians’ orders and are supervised by a registered dietician. A menu has
been designed to meet nutritional needs and also provide a variety of meal
choices. |
| |
| Activities |
| Residents are encouraged to
participate in a wide range of activities. A monthly calendar keeps
residents and guests informed of upcoming events such as parties, movies,
exercise classes, musical programs, religious services and craft classes.
Activities take place in The Lodge’s activity room, next-door at Leewood’s
main building, and at a variety of off-site locations. |
