Leewood Family Council

The Leewood Family Council is a group of family members and friends of loved ones who reside at Leewood. The council was established in 1987 to actively promote a quality lifestyle for each and every resident and maintain a cooperative relationship with administration, staff, and all others who are in pursuit of this mission. The goal of the council is to assist and insure that ongoing quality care is provided to all residents. Family Council has made a positive difference in the lives of residents at Leewood, and has been instrumental in encouraging improvements in the past five years. The council can help you to help your loved ones by suggestion how to resolve problems and by providing a strong, united voice of support. The council meets on the first Wednesday of each month in the Virginia Room at Leewood from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. We invite speakers, discuss issues, and provide support for families. Your participation is essential, and we encourage you to join us and help the council continue to make a difference in the lives of Leewood residents. For further information, please contact the council co-chairs: Sharon Smallwood (703) 644-4885 & Sharon Whitehouse (202) 321-5459
